Sofa Throws are the most rewarding and enjoyable pieces that we weave here at T3 Weavers. They are truely special. Wade's passion started in the beginning of our weaving career when he tackled two double woven coverlet blankets (100" x 100"). We have one loom that is designated for sofa throws. We have never quite mastered the designing and pattern work. We draw our inspiration from old coverlet pattern books. Wade's favorite weave structure is the shadow weave for it's contrasting colors and intricate designs. These designs are very structual and usuable. Wade is only able to produce 3-4 a year due to how time consuming each piece is. With almost 1000 warp ends, it takes days to set up the loom and hand twist the fringe, not to mention the weaving time. We are always adding new pieces and usually have one to two pieces in stock. These are truely works of art and not something you will see everyday.
