They are a herd animal native to the Andes Mountains in South America. Alpacas are prized for their luxurious and costly fiber. Alpaca fleece is a durable and warm natural fiber that is delightfully soft to the touch. Nothing could be finer or more pleasurable to work with than pure alpaca fiber. Alpaca is a hypoallergenic, water resistant natural fiber with the softness of cashmere and the strength of modern synthetics.

We have been working closely with the mills to produce an alpaca yarn that weavers and knitters will enjoy. We are offer 31 beautiful colors and will continue to expand our color selection.

Each year we receive alpaca fiber from the Weather'd T Ranch. This fiber is spun at the varies American mill. This yarn is usually available in 5-6 natural colors, no dyes added, and in a variety of sizes. Suri alpaca yarn and Llama yarn is also available in a variety of sizes and colors. Each line is a limited run from year to year.

T3 Alpaca Yarn is 3 ply and heavy worsted. It is 520 yards per pound and available in 4oz. skeins, 1/2 lb. cones and 1 lb. cones. It is available in 31 vivid colors which are dye-fast. This yarn is also available for wholesale inquires.
